Dr. Janaka Wannaku joins us this week to talk about why he encourages his patients to fast and reduce the carbohydrate intake in a country where most of the food that is consumed is carbohydrates.

Dr. Wannaku’s Method the #wannakumethod to cure Diabetes, lose weight easily.

  • Avoid Sugar, sweets, refined carbs, milk, vegetable oils and processed food.
  • Replace carbs, vegetables and fruits with Fat and protein. Eat 4 whole eggs per day, pol sambola, coconuts, curd, cheese, fish, meat, butter, coconut oil and avocado as much as you want. Do not count calories. Eat as much as you want.
  • Consume saturated fat as much as you want. (coconut oil, butter, lard and ghee)
  • First month. Eat breakfast after 9 am. Lunch 4 hour after breakfast. Eat dinner before 7pm. (14/10 Intermittent fasting) Three large meals a day.
  • Second month onwards. Eat breakfast after 11am. Eat dinner before 7pm. (16/8 Intermittent fasting). Two large meals a day.
  • Drink only water from dinner to breakfast the next day. Do not snack.
  • Sleep before 10.
  • Train with high intensity. Walking is a waste of time. Workout on Monday and Thursday -. squats 13, pushups 11, bridge 7, rowing 11(or pullups 5-7), 20 min AMRAP.
  • Meditate 20 mins daily.
